Mechanical Drafter Overview/Job Summary: Gryphon Environmental, a leader in advanced drying technology, is seeking to add a talented Mechanical Drafter to our team. The purpose of this role is to increase the capacity of the Engineering department to produce sales and manufacturing documents. The Mechanical Drafter will produce vitally important documents for sales, fabrication and will be directly involved through all aspects of design and manufacturing from conception, design, fabrication, and testing through supporting our field installation teams. This position reports to the Director of Engineering. Responsibilities Include: Produce preliminary equipment layouts, site drawings, and schematics using AutoCAD Produce and maintain complete and accurate fabrication documents including 2D fabrication drawings, cut lists, part nests, forming drawings and Bill of Materials for manufacturing and assembly using SolidWorks and Pronest Create and modify PFD, P&ID, and submittal documents using AutoCAD and Visio Assist in the maintenance of an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system Assist with data collection, testing, and other miscellaneous engineering department tasks Required Qualifications: Associates degree in CAD drafting or similar discipline or completion of technical trade school. Relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of three (3) years of drafting and design experience using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Fluent knowledge of AutoCAD is a must. Must be organized and self-motivated, have a strong attention to detail, and able to work with minimal guidance Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, on short notice, with tight deadlines Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy when preparing data and documents Willingness to work extended hours/weekends and travel as needed; travel is limited.
