Join us!THE ROLEThe Lead Cook is responsible for supporting the daily culinary operations at the AT&T Discovery District by leading kitchen staff, maintaining food quality standards, and ensuring efficient service execution. This role oversees food preparation and kitchen operations for concessions, events, and hospitality services while promoting a clean, safe, and organized work environment. The Lead Cook plays a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience through strong leadership, teamwork, and attention to detail in a fast-paced hospitality setting.RESPONSIBILITIESOversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient food preparation and service within the AT&T Discovery DistrictLead and support kitchen team members to maximize productivity, organization, and operational efficiencyMaintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment in accordance with company and health department standardsAssist with food preparation, cooking, and execution for concessions, events, and daily service operationsEnsure consistency in food quality, presentation, and guest experience across all service areasMaintain inventory levels and prepare products according to management direction and food safety guidelinesOperate, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment and workstations properlySupport event day operations and remain available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as neededApproach all tasks with a positive, team-oriented, and guest-focused attitudeDemonstrate professionalism, initiative, and a strong sense of accountability in a fast-paced environmentMaintain a professional appearance and uphold company standards at all timesPerform additional duties as assigned to support culinary and operational needs QUALIFICATIONS Ability to lift up to 50lbsAbility to walk, reach, stand, bend for long periods of timeAble to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, holidays)Able to work under pressureEffective interpersonal and oral communication skillsTeam PlayerMust be at least 18 years oldPrevious cooking experience requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent. Culinary training preferredMust have two (2) to three (3) years working in a fast-paced high-end club, or restaurantPractice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.Follow and encourage your team to follow all safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to looking for and reporting any unsafe work conditions, and complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.Report all safety incidents (injuries and illnesses) into the company's risk management system (Origami Risk) on the same day that the safety incident has been reported to you.
