This role provides systems engineering and technical analysis support for the MQ-4C Triton, a high-altitude, long-endurance maritime Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform.\n\nThe selected candidate will play a key role across the systems engineering lifecycle, supporting avionics and communications subsystems, ensuring airworthiness, and facilitating collaboration between U.S. Navy and international partners.\n\nResponsibilities:\nThe Program Systems Engineer will:\nPerform systems engineering and technical analysis for avionics and communications subsystems supporting the MQ-4C Triton platform\nReview engineering artifacts, airworthiness documentation, and test data to assess system safety, integration, and compliance with U.S. Navy and Commonwealth of Australia requirements\nSupport the full systems engineering lifecycle, including development, production, integration, sustainment, and operational testing\nCoordinate and participate in technical reviews, engineering working groups, and program meetings\nManage Requests for Information (RFIs) and integrate engineering inputs into the Integrated Government Schedule (IGS)\nServe as a technical liaison between U.S. Navy and Commonwealth of Australia airworthiness teams\nSupport execution of the Airworthiness Qualification Plan (AQP)\nParticipate in configuration management activities and ensure engineering documentation meets disclosure and release requirements for allied operations\nQualifications:\nRequired Qualifications:\n\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree (BS) in Engineering from an accredited college or university\nExperience:\nThree (3) to ten (10) years of systems engineering experience supporting DoD aircraft or weapons systems\nExperience in design, development, integration, and testing of hardware, software, and/or navigation, sensor, or communication subsystems\nWorking knowledge of systems engineering principles, theories, and lifecycle processes\nFamiliarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Military Standards, and DoD/DON/NAVAIR policies and procedures\nAbility to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.\nDue to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.\nThis position requires full-time, on-site support in Patuxent River, MD\nSalary range: $120,000 - $160,000 (The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.)\nDesired additional Qualifications:\nExperience with NAVAIR Systems Engineering processes and Airworthiness requirements\nExperience supporting Navy Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) programs\nMaster’s degree in Engineering or related field\nTen (10) or more years of relevant experience\n\nAbout being a part of Team AVIAN\nAs an employee-owner, you’ll be a catalyst for progress — helping us find new opportunities with current or new customers, company efficiencies, streamline processes, and bring people and ideas together in smarter ways.
