Learn more about us at www.e4.health.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nLead coding quality and education teams of hospital, professional fee and global coding auditors\nEvaluate and revise policies and procedures as needed to ensure quality coding\nDevelop and provide education to internal coders and providers as needed.\nDevelop and update coding department newsletters, education and reference documents.\nPost to True North page as needed.\nEnsure team members are educated on coding concepts and coding software\nReview, evaluate and educate coding team members and providers on updated rules and regulations related to coding, include new LCDs/NCDs/Medicare guidelines/AMA guidelines\nEnsure completion of provider audits to meet compliance policies and timelines\nCollaborate with coding and CDI operation managers on coding topics and guidelines\nProvide regular audits and education to coding team members on relevant coding topics\nTrack, rend and advise on outcomes of coding audits and needs for coder or provider specific education.\nSubmit reports and monitor monthly audits are completed timely.\nShare information with leadership and providers.\nResearch denial trends related to coding\nProvide necessary education to mitigate denials to coding team based on review\nCollaborate with leaders on education related to coding for providers and identify opportunities for improvement\nProvide guidance and counsel to providers face to face and or virtually.\nIdentifies educational/learning needs, planning, evaluating and implementing educational programs\nEnhance documentation and coding practices across the organization.\nAttends meetings specific to coding topics as needed and requested.\nServe as liaison between the providers, clinical staff and coders.\nServes a point of contact for clinical coding inquiries.\nDemonstrate the attention to detail to minimize coding errors\nLegitimately optimize reimbursement and ensure accurate billing.\nAnalyzes billing trends and claim denial reports to ensure optimal reimbursement.\nEnsure global coding team members are meeting established quality standards\nWorks closely with global vendors to analyze coder competency\nEnsure quality standards are being met.\nEscalates recommendations to HIM leadership based on review results.\nDepartment Specific Job Function\nRead and revise HIM policies specific to coding and auditing\nAttend management training for HIM leaders\nUse specific coding software, including Solventum and encoder pro\nRequirements\nBachelor's Degree - Allied Health, Education, or Health Information Management\nCoding experience of at least 5 years\nReporting experience of at least 1 year\nAbility to lead and direct teams at least 1 year\nAbility to analyze data and create actions plans at least 1 year\nWorking knowledge in billing and EMS systems at least 1 year\nEpic System experience preferred\nCertified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPCH)\nRegistered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)\n\nKEY SUCCESS ATTRIBUTES:\nIntegrity, passion, and ethics are required\nDemonstrates strong collaboration skills\nHas strong analytic and problem-solving abilities and techniques\nExhibit consistent initiative with strong drive for results and success\nDemonstrate commitment to a team environment?\nWell-developed written, verbal, and presentation communication skills including deep listening and attention to detail\nAbility to self-motivate and self-direct\nPossess strong time management and organizational skills\nCommitment and adherence to company Core Values\nCORE COMPETENCIES:\nHigh level of integrity & ethical judgement\nCommunication\nConsistency and Reliability\nMeeting Standards\n401(k) ELIGIBILITY e4health offers a retirement benefits package including 401(k) with company match.\nFull-time employees will be eligible to contribute to a 401(k)-retirement account after successfully completing 90 days of employment.\nPart-time employees will be eligible to contribute to a 401(k)-retirement account after completing 250 hours of worktime.\nThe items listed below pertain to Full-Time Employees only\nBENEFITS: We offer an excellent salary, medical, dental, vision, life, short/long term disability insurance, and PTO policy.
