This position ensures engineering documentation, Bills of Materials (BOMs), item master records, engineering change documentation, and released drawing packages are accurate, complete, and processed in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and quality management system standards. The Document Controller serves as a key liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, Quality, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Production to maintain document integrity and configuration control throughout the product lifecycle.\nResponsibilities:\nCreate and maintain Item Master records in the ERP system.\nCreate, update, and maintain Manufacturing Bills of Materials (MBOMs/NAVBOMs).\nCreate and maintain PCB routing records and manufacturing routings.\nReview engineering documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to release.\nProcess, release, and distribute engineering drawings, specifications, and related documentation.\nRoute, track, and process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) through the approval process.\nMaintain document revision control and configuration control throughout the product lifecycle.\nUpdate ERP, document management, and related systems to reflect approved engineering changes.\nEnsure released documentation is accurate, current, and available to Manufacturing and other authorized departments.\nCoordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management to resolve documentation discrepancies.\nMaintain engineering records, document archives, and controlled files in accordance with company procedures.\nSupport internal, customer, and regulatory audits by providing controlled documentation and records.\nAssist with Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities by preparing documentation and tracking action items.\nIdentify opportunities to improve document control, configuration management, and data accuracy processes.\nMaintain confidentiality and protect proprietary, export-controlled, and controlled unclassified information (CUI) in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.\nOther duties as assigned.\nExperience\n3+ years of document control, configuration management, engineering administration, or manufacturing documentation experience.\nExperience working within a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.\nRequired Skills:\nStrong understanding of engineering drawings and revision control.\nKnowledge of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product structures.\nExcellent attention to detail and organizational skills.\nAbility to prioritize multiple document releases while meeting deadlines.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\nPreferred Skills\nExperience with ERP systems supporting manufacturing (Microsoft NAV, Deltek Costpoint, etc)\nExperience with PLM/PDM or electronic document management systems (EDMS).\nKnowledge of AS9100 quality systems and configuration management practices.\nEducation\nAssociate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Technical Documentation, or related field preferred.
