The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets has several exciting opportunities to work at the Great New York State Fair! We are looking for temporary employees to join the Maintenance Department and help prepare for the 2026 State Fair. These positions will perform various manual tasks throughout the fairgrounds that support State Fair operations from May 2026 to September 2026. Your duties may involve light, medium, or heavy physical labor related to maintenance, grounds, labor, parking services, custodial duties, and/or operating motor vehicles and equipment. If you are required to operate motor vehicles, you must hold a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type. Our available positions are at the New York State Fairgrounds at 581 State Fair Boulevard, Syracuse, NY. We provide a comfortable working environment with ample free parking.
