The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience managing CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and production operations, with a mindset oriented toward reducing toil and driving continuous improvement.\nWhat will you do?\nDevOps Engineering\nBuild, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD or similar tools.\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and maintenance using Terraform, Ansible, or related technologies.\nCollaborate with developers and QA to create reliable deployment paths from local dev to production.\nImplement infrastructure-as-code practices across environments (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes, bare-metal).\nSite Reliability Engineering (SRE)\nDesign and implement monitoring, alerting, and observability systems to maintain high availability and performance.\nRespond to incidents, lead root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.\nEstablish and evolve SLOs/SLIs to ensure measurable system reliability.\nParticipate in on-call rotation and help build automation to reduce the need for human intervention.\nDrive capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization initiatives.\nSystem Operations\nAdminister Linux (Ubuntu/Debian) and Windows-based infrastructure.\nManage self-hosted GitLab instances and ensure secure, performant operation.\nImplement and enforce security best practices across infrastructure (IAM, RBAC, least privilege, etc.).\nSupport both containerized and virtualized workloads across environments.\nRequirements\nCapabilities that will enable your success\n5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.\nHands-on experience and proficiency with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, etc.) and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).\nExperience deploying and managing infrastructure using Terraform and/or Ansible.\nSolid knowledge of Linux system administration.\nStrong skills in Windows system administration environments.\nProven experience managing and automating GitLab, including CI/CD pipelines.\nProficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.).\nExperience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (CloudWatch, Datadog, CloudTrail).\nSolid understanding of networking, security best practices, and high-availability system design.\nFamiliarity with version control systems (Git) and GitLab workflows.\nStrong troubleshooting and incident response skills, with a focus on automation and root cause analysis.\nAbility to travel up to 20%.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAWS certification or equivalent practical experience.\nKnowledge of cloud cost optimization and efficiency practices.\nExperience with self-hosted Gitlab instances and CI/CD pipelines.\nClearance Requirements\nApplicants must be a U.S. Citizen and willing and eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance at the Secret or Top-Secret level.
