Primary duties will be to support Pure Storage’s inside sales team and be the technical sales advisor which demonstrates the technical benefits of Pure’s solution to our prospects and customers.SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE…Assist prospects and customers with basic demonstrations, system configurations, and answers to technical questions Respond to telephone and electronic communications from customers, resellers, Inside Account Executives, and Management team regarding product applications, pricing, and ongoing projectsAssist with solution designs and will be brought into opportunities and mentored as part of an opportunity team. Will have the ability to take point on simple designs where appropriateWork with established programs and sizing tools to provide customers with a product performance solution that meets and exceeds their expectationsApply critical thinking techniques to work through difficult customer situations Work closely and establish strong relationships with Engineering, Support, Professional Service and Product Management in helping to define product requirements, deployment, troubleshooting and usabilityAssist on TCO/ROI modeling dependent on tenure and capabilityBe involved in Account Planning, primarily as an observerTeach traditional SE’s how to leverage social mediaWhat You’ll Need To Bring To This Role...BS in CS, EE or other technical degree and/or equivalent experience2+ years of experience (technology industry preferred) Strong phone presence and experience in a high-volume customer interaction environmentConscientious attitude and dependability, strengths in teamwork and communicationConfident, articulate and professional speaking abilities, and a strong ability to listenAbility to collect data, identify problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusionsPreparation and delivery of technical product and architecture presentationsKnowledge of current and emerging storage architectures (FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN) preferredPassion for technology and aptitude to learn new technologiesKnowledge of VMware, Windows, UNIX OS variants (Linux, AIX, …), NFS file systems and network environments helpfulSelf-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and proactively, while applying a high level of business and technical acumen to a variety of situationsDemonstrated listening, written communication and product presentation skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks and projects, in real-time scenariosDomestic, overnight travel 5-10% of the timeSalesforce.com experience preferredWillingness to relocate upon promotion What You Can Expect From UsInnovation: We celebrate those who think critically, like a challenge, and aspire to be trailblazers.Growth: We give you the space and support to grow along with us and to contribute to something meaningful.
