Position QualificationsBachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or universityBeing a Harmony graduate (preferred)Duties And ResponsibilitiesUnderstands and supports the mission, vision and values of Harmony Public Schools.Manages a reasonable coaching caseload by scheduling all student meetings on a weekly, or as needed, basisFollows HPS College and Career Success Coaching curriculum to support HPS college students to help studentsprogress towards specific goals/milestonesCultivates partnerships with post-secondary institutions to leverage every existing college and university program andestablishes a single point of contact at each institution, to ensure an easy connection to post-secondary supports.Helps students maximize financial aid by assisting their navigation of the financial aid process and tapping into differentscholarship platforms that help students find and secure existing scholarships.Recruits HPS seniors to successfully join HPS Postsecondary programs and servicesProvides perspective on college life and acts as a facilitator, guiding students to the appropriate campus resources andhelping them understand the commitment necessary to succeed.Supports HPS college students with career exploration, planning, and developmentSupports programming connected to the following areas such as transition, relationship building, event planning, resourcedevelopment and recruitment of HPS graduates into HPS postsecondary success programsSupports Harmony College Leaders team attending focus colleges.Supports the district College & Career team by attending events, networking with guests / supporters, and providing eventlogistics as neededAttends partner college professional development activities about student success, retention and completion.Builds and maintains professional relationships with college personnelWorks closely with partner college admission, financial aid, student success team to recruit best match and fit HPSstudents and retain them by sharing University financial aid and student success support opportunities to reduce HPSdrop out or stop out rateCoordinates college campus student eventsManages the college partner peer mentoring programConsistently collects, records, and interprets HPS student data to guide coaching services and measure successSupports HPS homegrown talent recruitment into HPS system such as GYOTPerforms other duties as assigned.Skills And AbilitiesAbility to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of management, both internal and externalto the district.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internal and external to the district.Ability to use computer including software, database used by the district, spreadsheet and word processing software,calculator, copy machine and telephone.Ability to analyze data and generate reports.Ability to use effective interview techniques, effective public speaking skills, and problem-solving skillsWork Environment And Physical RequirementsLight Work: may require the occasional light lifting.Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required.Position is in office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location.Moderate travel is required.
