This position exists to bridge final machining, detail finishing, precision assembly, and protective packaging so that defect-free products ship reliably and on time.Assembler ResponsibilitiesClean, deburr, polish, and blend machined metallic components using hand tools, die grinders, sanders, and wire brushesAssemble machined parts into finished units per engineering drawings, work instructions, and bills of materialProtect finished, sealing, and bearing surfaces from scratches, dings, or handling damage throughout productionBreak edges and create required chamfers, radii, and specified surface finishes without altering critical machined dimensionsApply part identification, including laser marking, stamping, or tagging per specificationsVerify part numbers, revisions, and quantities against job packets and packing lists prior to final packagingPackage components using protective wrap, rust preventatives, foam, and custom crating to prevent shipping damageInspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and surface finish gauges against drawing requirementsIdentify and segregate suspect or nonconforming material immediately to prevent shipment of defective productMaintain organized work areas and operate heavy material handling equipment including overhead cranes and forkliftsAssembler Reporting RelationshipsThis role reports directly to the Production Supervisor.
