Help us raise the expectation of what an agriculture company can be and grow your career with Nutrien.\n\nWhat you will do:\n\nWork under the direction of the Process Engineering Superintendent to accomplish plant objectives in the priority areas of Safety, Environmental, Quality, Reliability, Production, Efficiency, Cost Reduction, and Innovation.\nAct as a subject matter expert (SME) in process engineering, mentoring and reviewing work from junior engineers as needed.\nParticipate in or lead Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPs), What-If analyses, and other safety/process reviews, supporting the Process Safety Management (PSM) Management of Change (MOC) process.\nContribute to Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFA) and incident investigations; complete assigned action items on schedule.\nProvide accurate, thorough design input and review for projects, ensuring close coordination with area personnel.\nIdentify, evaluate, and implement opportunities for production, reliability, efficiency, and cost improvements.\nResearch and apply industry technology advancements and lessons learned from Nutrien and other industry facilities.\nServe as project engineer for capital projects, coordinating multidisciplinary design teams to ensure quality and accuracy.\nEnsure proper loading of vessels during catalyst, desiccant, packing, and gauze changes.\n\nWhat you will bring:\n\nBachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.\nMinimum 5 years engineering experience in the chemical process industry.\nExperience in Ammonia and Nitrogen-based fertilizer operations is highly desirable.\nProficiency with HYSYS and other process modeling software.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to analyze financial and cost data to develop sound conclusions and recommendations.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with engineering software tools.\nStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with both company and contract employees.\nAbility to effectively mentor junior engineers and support cross-functional collaboration.\nSkilled at conflict resolution and fostering teamwork.\nProven ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects, adapting quickly as needed.\nGoal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.\nStrong commitment to safety, integrity, and operational excellence.\n\nReady to make an impact with us?
