This position supports enterprise-level sourcing and procurement activities across multiple business units, ensuring that materials, goods, and services are secured efficiently, cost-effectively, and aligned with operational needs. The Sourcing Specialist plays a key role in supplier management, spend optimization, and continuous improvement within a highly structured supply chain environment.Responsibilities:Assist in gathering and analyzing industry, economic, market, and spend data.Support identification of opportunities for leveraging spend by category.Implement sourcing and negotiation strategies for key spend areas to achieve short- and long-term savings targets.Measure and track performance within defined spend categories.Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential suppliers.Obtain order confirmations from suppliers and ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods.Participate in cross-functional sourcing teams to evaluate suppliers and support selection decisions.Support execution of supplier KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Review and coordinate technical, cost, and delivery requirements for sourcing events.Create and evaluate quotations and bids, and recommend suppliers for selection.Negotiate and place purchase orders in accordance with procurement policies.Review and validate inventory item data, ensuring accuracy and adherence to naming conventions.Coordinate resolution of accounts payable and delivery discrepancies.Process supplier claims related to materials, equipment, or delivery performance issues.Ensure warehouse and site personnel compliance with supply chain policies and procedures.Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing shortages and delays.Respond to audits, surveys, and internal or external information requests.Support supplier diversity initiatives across sourcing activities.Communicate sourcing impacts and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.Ensure compliance with all applicable procurement policies and procedures.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.3–5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, warehousing, or logistics.Experience with supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and purchase order management.Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems.Strong knowledge of procurement principles, purchasing policies, and supply chain processes.Experience analyzing supplier performance data, cost structures, and market intelligence.Understanding of inventory management principles and demand planning concepts.Familiarity with business law concepts, including Uniform Commercial Code.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel for data analysis.Ability to interpret technical specifications, financial reports, and procurement documentation.
