In this role, you will be the part of our distribution operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout our facility. Your day to day duties will include forklift operation, materials handling, grinding and shredding machine operation and warehouse duties keeping our supply chain running smoothly. M-F 8:00a-4:00p\nResponsibilities\nSafely operate various types of heavy equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and assist in grinding and shredding operations of our plastic recycling operations.\nManage shipping and receiving processes by inspecting incoming shipments, verifying order accuracy, and preparing items for outbound delivery.\nMaintain inventory control through proper use of warehouse management systems , conducting regular stock counts and updates.\nAssist with equipment repair and basic maintenance to ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently.\nSupport warehouse distribution activities by organizing storage areas, stacking pallets correctly, and adhering to safety standards.\nCollaborate with warehouse staff to optimize workflow, improve safety protocols, and enhance overall warehouse operations.\nRequirements\nProven experience operating forklifts (including pallet jacks and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting.\nMechanical aptitude with basic repair skills for equipment maintenance.\nFamiliarity with safety standards related to materials handling and heavy equipment operation.\nAbility to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; physical stamina for shifts involving standing, walking, bending, and lifting.\nBasic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and order accuracy verification.\nPrior experience in shipping & receiving or warehouse distribution is preferred but not required.\nExcellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to support efficient warehouse operations.
