The ideal candidate will have hands-on foundry experience, strong technical skills, and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints accurately.\n\nThis position will work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure castings meet customer specifications while maintaining safe, efficient, and consistent manufacturing processes.\n\n*Key Responsibilities*\n\n* Read and interpret *engineering drawings and blueprints — required*.\n* Develop, review, and improve processes for steel castings.\n* Apply knowledge of *gating and risering systems* to support sound, quality castings.\n* Communicating with customers on issues\n* Assist with troubleshooting casting defects and determining root causes.\n* Review casting requirements, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.\n* Work with production personnel to improve casting quality, yield, and process consistency.\n* Support pattern, mold, core, and casting process development.\n* Analyze casting issues and recommend corrective actions.\n* Maintain accurate engineering and process documentation.\n* Collaborate with quality and manufacturing teams to resolve production issues.\n* Follow all company safety and quality procedures.\n\n*Qualifications*\n\n* Previous experience in a *steel foundry or metal casting environment* preferred.\n* *Ability to read and interpret blueprints/engineering drawings is a must.*\n* Working knowledge of *gating and risering of steel castings*.\n* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.\n* Ability to troubleshoot problems and identify practical solutions.\n* Good mathematical and analytical skills.\n* Ability to communicate effectively with both engineering and production personnel.\n* Familiarity with casting processes, tooling, patterns, molds, and cores is a plus.\n* Engineering degree or equivalent foundry experience preferred.\n\n*What We’re Looking For*\n\nThe successful candidate is *hands-on, analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment*.
