Job DescriptionSelectek is partnering with a firm in Georgetown, Delaware to hire a Process Engineer on a direct hire basis. Ideal candidates have worked in an Injection Plastic Molding facility for minimum of 3-5 years and can handle supervisory duties.Expected Pay Range: $75,000 - $125,000 base salaryLocation: Georgetown, DESchedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00a - 5:00pEssential Duties & Responsibilities:Responsible for supervision of tool room, process techs, trainees and material handlers, process engineers and maintenanceBe a liaison between manufacturing and engineeringResponsible for training of technical resourcesUse Lean/Six Sigma methodologies for process development and problem solvingResponsible for building and maintaining a high performance teamMaintain associated metrics for respective areaResponsible for optimizing cycle times, reducing scrap, and reducing downtimeParticipate on teams that require technical expertiseResponsible for creating and maintaining associated department proceduresMaintain a high level of professionalismMonitor processes and ensure accurate execution f defined processesResponsible for level of quality produced by the departmentPromote a high level of communication between departments to execute customer ordersPromote and participate actively in continuous improvementDevelop growth and development plans for personnelMaintain working relationships with other department managers and personnelAssess equipment and personnel requirements for department and make/implement necessary changesPerform other tasks as directed by managerAdditional responsibilities as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities:Responsible for supervision of personnelResponsible for ensuring a safe work environmentResponsible for accurately assessing labor needs and making appropriate schedule adjustmentsResponsible for maintenance of timecardsResponsible for vacation request and approvals for personnelResponsible for maintenance of personnel training recordsResponsible for discipline of personnelRequired:Proficient with injection molding processingExperience with Engineered and high-temp resinsAbility to interpret part prints, quality plans, work instructions, and apply the knowledge appropriatelyAbility to develop and write work procedures and train personnelProficient in use of Office Software, including work processing and spreadsheetsMust possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact with all levels of the organizationWorking knowledge of CAD/Solid works and Mold flowDemonstrated experience in formalized problem solvingAbility to program robots and exchange end-of-arm toolingWorking knowledge of ISO 900-2008 and TS-16949-2009Preferred:Lean/Six Sigma training/certification preferredCertificate of supervisory training preferredSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt training preferredIn addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.To be considered for this position, apply via the link, or if email is more convenient, send an up-to-date resume to jfairbanks@selectek.net and reference this job posting.
