This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design scalable and secure architectures, and ensure a smooth deployment and operation of desktop environments.\nResponsibilities\nDesigns end-to-end desktop solutions by analyzing business requirements, assessing existing infrastructure, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures\nDesigns and integrates application and desktop products, including virtual apps and desktops, to provide comprehensive and cohesive desktop solutions\nConfigures and manages virtual machines, session hosts, virtual networks, and storage to create and maintain virtual desktop environments\nEnsures proper image management, user profile management, and application delivery mechanisms\nDesigns and configures network connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and cloud services, including network security measures, such as firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers\nOptimizes desktop environments for performance, scalability, and user experience\nMonitors and tunes resource allocation, load balancing, and network bandwidth to ensure optimal performance\nImplements security measures, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements, to protect desktop environments and ensure compliance with industry regulations\nDesigns and implements high availability and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime and data loss\nCreates redundancy mechanisms, backup strategies, and failover mechanisms to ensure business continuity\nAssists with the setup of monitoring tools and processes to proactively monitor desktop infrastructure\nIdentifies and troubleshoots performance issues, system errors, and network connectivity problems to maintain a stable and reliable environment\nCreates design documentation, implementation guides, and operational procedures, policy documents and controls\nLeads and coordinates with cross-functional teams to design and provide timely resolution to escalated issues related to the service, including support, security, network, and application SME teams\nWrites, tests, validates, and installs packages for software upgrades/patches\nProvides support for incidents and problems escalated from tier 1 and 2 support teams with a focus on PC hardware, operating systems, peripherals, and other issues\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field and four (4) years designing and implementing desktop solutions\nOr High School Diploma/GED and eight (8) years designing and implementing desktop solutions\nExperience in network design, including connectivity options, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers\nPreferences\nRelated certifications in A+, Azure, Citrix, Jamf, Microsoft technologies, etc.\nSkills and Competencies\nAbility to work with minimal supervision\nExcellent customer service skills\nFamiliarity with identity and access management concepts\nKnowledge of operating systems\nKnowledge of security best practices, data encryption, access controls, and compliance profiles, policies, smart groups, inventory collection, and enrollment workflows\nAssist with Zero-Touch Provisioning for macOS using Automated Device Enrollment (ADE) through Apple Business Manager\nApply and maintain macOS configuration baselines aligned with security standards and MDM capabilities\nCreate and maintain macOS packages, scripts, and automation to support software deployment, patching, and endpoint configuration\nSupport integrations between Jamf Pro and enterprise systems such as identity providers, certificate services, and security platforms\nParticipate in macOS version lifecycle activities including testing, validation, phased deployments, and user communications\nLeverage Jamf Pro APIs and tooling to support reporting, remediation workflows, inventory accuracy, and configuration compliance\nDevelop and maintain scripts (bash, zsh, or Python) to assist with Jamf automation, macOS compliance checks, and provisioning tasks\nmacOS Platform Knowledge\nDemonstrated working knowledge of macOS system behavior including permissions, FileVault, MDM concepts, and security features\nExperience using Apple Business Manager capabilities\nSupport
