This role is focused on developing low-level, high-performance capabilities used in real-world environments.\nThis is a highly technical position suited for engineers with deep hands-on experience in systems programming, reverse engineering, and offensive capability development. Candidates should be comfortable working across the full lifecycle—from research and development to operational deployment.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDevelop and maintain cyber capabilities using C and Python\nDesign modular, scalable tooling for operational use\nPerform cross-compilation across multiple architectures and platforms\nConduct reverse engineering and low-level system analysis\nContribute to vulnerability research and exploit development\nBuild and integrate implants and tooling with C2 frameworks\nCollaborate with operators to iterate on mission-driven requirements\nMaintain clean, version-controlled codebases and reproducible builds\nRequired Qualifications\nActive TS/SCI clearance\nBachelors degree is technical discipline\nMinimum of 5 years experience\nStrong, recent experience with:\nC (systems-level programming)\nPython (tooling, scripting, automation)\nProficiency with Git and modern development practices\nHands-on experience in several of the following areas:\nCross-compilation for diverse targets\nReverse engineering (e.g., GDB, IDA Pro, Ghidra)\nVulnerability research or exploit development\nDevelopment of modular implants or payload frameworks\nProcess injection or similar low-level techniques\nCommand and Control (C2) systems (e.g., Mythic, Cobalt Strike, Vermilion Strike)\nNetwork stack programming (sockets, protocols, TCP/IP)\nPreferred Experience\n8 years experience\nStrong background in *nix environments (Linux preferred)\nWindows expertise will be considered with equivalent depth\nDemonstrated experience building complex offensive tooling end-to-end\nHighly desirable: experience developing and cross compiling a full Remote Access Tool (RAT)\nFamiliarity with secure coding practices and testing methodologies\nMust be willing to work on-site in Annapolis Junction, MD.\nNice to Have\nExperience with:\nMbed TLS\nCMocka\nPrompt Toolkit\nClick\nPoetry\n#cjpost\n#LI-CJ1\n#LI-Onsite\nIn support of pay transparency at Vantor, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings.
