Probabilistic Risk Engineer II

Holtec International seeks qualified applicants in its Probabilistic Safety Analysis (PSA) discipline. The Sr. PSA Engineer will join a multidisciplinary team of engineers engaged in designing Holtec's flagship nuclear reactor SMR-300 managed by SMR, LLC, which is a subsidiary of Holtec International. Holtec International a global turnkey supplier of equipment and systems for nuclear, solar, geothermal, and fossil power generation sectors of the energy industry.The PSA Engineer II will develop and maintain PRA logic models and/or supporting thermal-hydraulic analyses used to quantify risk and support design and licensing activities. Responsibilities include model development for internal and external events, sensitivity and uncertainty evaluation, and preparation of Level 1 and Level 2 results to support risk-informed decisions. Engineers with thermal-hydraulic focus will develop and apply RELAP5-3D and MELCOR models to simulate plant response for transients and accidents that inform PRA quantifications.
