You will join a fast-paced, exciting, innovative environment leading an engineering team in Oregon. You will work on Intel SoC development projects through strategic partnerships with our global Architecture, Pre-Silicon, Post-Silicon teams as well as external customers in the Client and Data Center segments. You will do this by providing Pre-Silicon Platforms throughout the product life cycle for software development, HW/SW co-validation, power/performance tuning of products at the right velocity.\nPrimary responsibilities include:\nBuilds emulation and FPGA models and solutions from RTL design using synthesis, partitioning, and routing tools.\nDevelops, integrates, tests, and debugs hardware and software collateral in simulation, emulation, and FPGA models for testing new features, writes directed tests, develops the test environment and hybrid emulation environment, and supports verification of hardware and software/firmware.\nDefines and develops new capabilities and tools to achieve better verification through improved emulation and FPGA model usability.\nEnables acceleration of RTL development and improve emulation/FPGA model usability for presilicon verification, postsilicon validation, and software development.\nDevelops improvements to usability by RTL validation and debugging of failing RTL tests on the emulation platform and interfaces with and provides guidance to verification teams for optimizing presilicon verification environments, test suites, and methodologies for emulation efficiency.\nDevelops and utilizes automation aids, flows, and scripts in support of emulation utilization.\nApplies understanding of emulation and FPGA prototyping tools and methodologies, SoC integration, emulation transactors, emulation performance and optimization techniques, RTL simulation, and hybrid emulation environments (virtual platform and FPGA/emulation model).\nCollaborates with design, power and performance, silicon validation, and software teams, and participates in SoC and IP bring up, root causes testbench issues, IP and SoC testcases, and emulator/FPGA environment issues.\nSoft skills include:\nDemonstrated track record of timely delivery of projects and products across multiple sites.\nExcellent communication and presentation skills.\nAbility to work independently, prioritize, manage risks, evaluate tradeoffs, make quick decisions and communicate project status.\nInterfacing with multiple customers, understanding their requirements, setting expectations and delivering on commitments.\nAbility to work with hardware and software teams developing advanced technologies using design and SW best practices.\nAnalytical problem solving, team oriented and ability to work in a collaborative environment\n\nQualifications\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nMinimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMS/PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering or related discipline and 8+ years of combined experience in the following:\nSoC logic design and simulation verification experience.\nLogic/RTL design- VHDL, Verilog, System Verilog.\nFPGA prototyping solutions using Synopsys HAPS boards, Siemens Prodesign, Cadence Protium or custom prototyping platforms.\nFPGA synthesis tools such as Synopsys, Synplify Pro, Synplify Premier, Siemens, Quartus.\nFPGA debug tools such as Chipscope, Identify, Certus.\nPCIe, SATA protocols.\nRAID, vROC, RST, RAS related technologies.\nS/W development practices and quality standards.\nLinux/Unix and Windows based S/W development environments and tools.\nHDL (Verilog, System Verilog) based simulation and RTL validation environments\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with Hardware emulation platforms such as Synopsys' ZeBu, Siemens' Strato and Cadence's Palladium platforms.\nSpecific working knowledge of Intel SoC (Processor, Graphics, Memory, Peripheral) architecture.\nWorking knowledge of Peripheral protocols (e.g. USB-C, Audio, DDR, etc)\nExperience in power-aware Pre-Si modeling and System Power management.\nExperience with transaction level modeling would be an added advantage.\nExperience in OVM/UVM and other object-oriented verification methodologies\nExperience in developing and debugging of issues in drivers, FW, BIOS and OS environments\nEmbedded software development/debug experience.\nExperience with Python, Perl or Shell scripting\nExperience leading Agile SW development practices - Kanban, Scrum, etc.\nRequirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.\n\nInside this Business Group\n\nThe Client Computing Group (CCG) is responsible for driving business strategy and product development for Intel's PC products and platforms, spanning form factors such as notebooks, desktops, 2 in 1s, all in ones.
