CNC Machine Operator - 3rd Shift

Job Description Alexandria, MN - 3rd shift (Mon-Fri, 11:00pm-7:00am)The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for loading/unloading parts into Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines, while ensuring finished parts meet customer specifications and company quality standards. This position is also responsible for ensuring that production processes are accurate and efficient, and that safety and quality standards are maintained throughout all areas in the facility.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure that safety is always the number one priority at Alexandria Industries; promote and support a safe work environment and safety-oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelinesOperate CNC machines and perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner in alignment with company policiesRead and follow instructions on manufacturing orders and blueprints to ensure that components meet product and customer design specificationsPerform quality inspections using precision measurement devices to ensure all parts meet specificationsAccurately use all measurement tools and hand tools as neededPerform tool offset adjustments as neededPerform tool and insert changes when neededAssist with setup preparations and tear down processesProvide machine shop support; deburring, tumbling, packing, assembly, punching, bending, etc.Perform basic machine maintenance as needed; clean out chips, monitor coolant levels, etc.Follow all company initiatives in the areas of 5S, quick-response-manufacturing (QRM), and safetyCommunicate effectively with supervisor, team members and other shifts as needed to ensure efficient and successful completion of customer ordersMaintain department and company performance and production goalsTroubleshoot machine errors and part variances and suggest improvements to improve qualityOperate manual machining equipment as neededCross train within the machine shop to learn and develop skills on a variety of machines and equipmentMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Ability to recognize safety concernsA highly motivated self-starterStrong written and verbal communication skillsBasic math skillsAbility to multi-taskStrong decision-making skillsAbility to take part in continuous training and educationBENEFITSA.I.
