Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment. Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers. Performs detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations. Performs spatial integration at system or component level and modification of mechanisms/landing gear/ordinance systems. Assists in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems. Assists in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts. Works under general supervision.\n\nDay to Day\n\nParticipate in the design and development of mechanical systems and structures for flight simulators.\n\nSupport machinist with fabrication and assembly of flight simulators.\n\nInterfaces with suppliers and buyers to support the purchase of mechanical fabrication services.\n\nRequirements\nRequired Experience:\n\nExperience with Siemens NX CAD system.\n\nExperience designing flight simulators and aircraft cockpit structures.\n\nExperience designing parts for 3D printing.\n\nExperience designing parts for CNC machining.\n\nExperience designing waterjet parts.\n\nExperience designing packaging for electrical systems.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\n\nExperience in general fabrication, precision machining and complex assembly techniques.\n\nBachelor of Science in mechanical engineering.\n\nPreferred Skills:\n\nA minimum of 2 years’ experience designing flight simulation or trainer equipment.\n\nA minimum of 2 years’ experience using the NX CAD system.\n\nMaster of Science in mechanical engineering.\n\nBachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering\n\nCTS Pays For Referrals!
