This role requires a strong background in data engineering, analytics, and nuclear industry knowledge to drive decision-making and optimize operations.\r\nCandidate must be a US citizen or US Permanent Resident due to the nature of the work.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nDesign, development, and deployment of data and analytics solutions to support nuclear operations and decision-making.\r\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, engineering, operations) to understand data needs and develop effective solutions.\r\nImplement data pipelines, data warehousing, and ETL processes to ensure high-quality and accessible data.\r\nDesign and build strong foundational data pipelines for AI initiatives.\r\nDevelop advanced analytical models and algorithms to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.\r\nEnsure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry regulations and standards.\r\nStay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement in data practices.\r\nProvide level 3 support to current Power BI reports.\r\nAssess, design, develop, integrate and troubleshoot technology to support business processes.\r\nProvide technical or functional guidance to project/work teams, as needed within specific or multiple disciplines.\r\nEnsure reliability, performance, security, and continuity of IT systems; ensure excellent technical support services are provided.\r\nAnalyze, design, develop, test, debug, implement, maintain, integrate, customize, and enhance existing or new systems.\r\nApply appropriate Agile/development methodologies, SDLCs, tools, and technology.\r\nAutomate the handoff of code releases from development to operations (DevOps).\r\nParticipate in change management and service ticket management (receiving, resolution monitoring, ensuring customer satisfaction).\r\nLead projects when needed and build strong working understanding of the solution being delivered.\r\nEnsure user satisfaction via preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of complex problems.\r\nDesign, develop, and test experimental application work to test new ideas with bounded cost/time frames.\r\nEnsure application processes align with corporate social responsibility, security, compliance, environmental, and technical policies and applicable standards/legislation.\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\nStrong background in data engineering and analytics; nuclear industry knowledge to support nuclear operations and decision-making.\r\nProficiency in programming languages such as SQL; experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).\r\nDeep understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data visualization tools (Power BI, etc.).\r\nExperience with data management efforts (data quality, data governance, retention, privacy, data security).\r\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.\r\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.\r\nKnowledge of industry regulations and standards related to nuclear data management and security.\r\nExpert knowledge with Oracle, Databricks, SQL, PostgreSQL.\r\nHands-on knowledge of Power BI Architect, AWS DMS, Microsoft Co-pilot, Microsoft Studio.\r\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS and GCP) and their data services.\r\nFamiliarity with Open Search and Neo4J.\r\nWork authorization: US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (required due to the nature of the work).\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nExperience with real-time and IoT data.\r\nKnowledge in Gen AI.\r\nExperience with machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in the nuclear sector.\r\nEqual Employment Opportunity Statement\r\nGravity IT Resources is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
