In this role, you will provide technical analysis supporting complex space systems and help inform architecture, acquisition, and capability decisions for next-generation intelligence systems.\nRole/Responsibilities/Qualifications In this role, you will:\nThe selected candidate will work closely with government customers and systems engineering teams to evaluate space and ground architectures, assess system performance, conduct mission and orbital analyses, and develop modeling and simulation approaches that address complex mission needs. This position offers the opportunity to directly support critical Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) missions involving SIGINT and related intelligence capabilities.\nSupport mission analysis assessments, technical studies, and architecture evaluations for complex space systems\nConduct architecture trade studies, impact assessments, and system performance analyses in coordination with government and enterprise engineering teams\nDevelop, test, validate, and apply modeling and simulation methodologies and analytical tools using platforms such as STK, SOAP, MATLAB, Python, and other mission analysis software\nAnalyze spacecraft and ground system performance, mission timelines, operational scenarios, and system-level performance metrics\nPerform orbital analyses, including mission trades, threat impacts, architecture considerations, and alternative concept evaluations\nIdentify and document technical issues affecting spacecraft, ground systems, and end-to-end mission performance through objective quantitative analysis\nSupport algorithm analysis, modeling, verification, validation, tuning, testing, and integration planning\nEvaluate system and architecture performance to support future capability and acquisition decisions\nDevelop technical documentation, analysis reports, briefings, and recommendations for government stakeholders\nCommunicate complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences\nCollaborate with government customers, program offices, mission partners, and systems engineering organizations to develop solutions to complex technical challenges\nRequired Qualifications\nActive TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph\nBachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or a related technical discipline\n5+ years of relevant Intelligence Community experience\nExperience performing modeling, simulation, mission analysis, or quantitative systems analysis for space-based systems\nStrong understanding of government satellite systems, space mission architectures, and their application to Intelligence Community and Department of Defense missions\nUnderstanding of SIGINT mission fundamentals and Signals Intelligence satellite systems and architectures\nExperience analyzing complex space systems, including spacecraft, ground systems, mission performance, and/or orbital considerations\nExperience with MATLAB, Python, or similar technical computing/programming tools\nAbility to analyze complex technical problems and translate results into clear findings and recommendations\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with government customers and multidisciplinary engineering teams\nDesired Qualifications\nMaster's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or a related technical discipline\nExperience with Systems Tool Kit (STK), SOAP, or comparable orbital and mission analysis tools\nExperience conducting architecture trades, mission effectiveness analysis, or system performance assessments\nExperience with SIGINT, COMINT, FISINT, and/or ELINT mission areas\nExperience supporting algorithm verification and validation, performance tuning, or integration activities\nFamiliarity with future space architecture studies, capability assessments, and acquisition decision support\nLocation\nChantilly, VA\nSecurity Clearance\nActive TS/SCI with Polygraph required.\nDeliverable(s) This is an opportunity to help shape the future of national security space.
