This position is a hands-on role that requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and a strong customer focus.\n\nResponsibilities:\nDrive Innovation: Evaluate and implement new and existing technologies, platforms, and services that support and evolve our corporate infrastructure.\nEnsure Reliability: Maintain 24/7/365 uptime through proactive monitoring, rapid incident response, and strategic prioritization of infrastructure operations.\nMaximize Availability: Develop and execute capacity planning, risk mitigation, redundancy, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure maximum uptime and business continuity.\nMaintain Infrastructure: Own timely upgrades and patching across critical infrastructure components—including firewalls, network gear, servers, storage systems, and VMware environments.\nSupport Networks: Support secure, high-speed networking systems (LAN/WAN, MPLS, VPNs, firewalls, routers/switches)\n\nRequired Experience\nThis position is based in Rolling Meadows, IL. Candidates must be local, as relocation and sponsorship are not available.\nDegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or technology-related degree, or equivalent experience.\n5+ years of experience supporting multi-site enterprise TCP/IP networks, including MPLS, VPN, firewalls, VOIP, and wireless technologies.\n5+ years of experience with Microsoft technologies, including Identity & Access Management, Enterprise Directory Services, and Domain Architecture.\nExperience managing data storage environments, including SANs, provisioning LUNS, and real-time replication.\n5+ years of managing infrastructure for Microsoft Windows Server and SUSE Linux.\nFamiliar with administering and supporting VMware virtualization solutions in an enterprise environment.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).\nApplicants must be 18 or older.\n\nAbout RTC\nRTC focuses on continual improvement, evolving our capabilities, and reinvesting in our business to deliver higher-performing solutions for our clients. The actual base salary depends on various factors and could be above or below the range, depending on the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific skills, level of education, business needs, and market demand. The full salary range for this role reflects this position's competitive labor market value and provides an opportunity to progress as associates grow and develop within the role. Bonuses are paid based on RTC’s financial results. Any payouts awarded in the first year of employment are pro-rated based on the start date.
