Our community consists of 83 apartments with a range of various styles.\nWe are seeking dedicated, and highly motivated CNA's and HHA's to join our team.\nGENERAL DESCRIPTION:\nEncourage and support the concept of assisted living by meeting the personal needs of the residents of Christopher Heights.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nProvide residents with personal care services on an individual basis including:\nAssist with showering or whirlpool bath.\nAssist with dressing and undressing.\nAssist with grooming and hygiene.\nEncourage socialization.\nAssist resident in recreational activities.\nAssist with ambulation and escorts to meals as needed.\nAssist with laundry.\nRespond to medical emergencies.\nDocument all unusual activity and changes in functional or nutritional status.\nAssist with medication reminders.\nFollow recommendations and instructions from Physician, Licensed Nurse, and Director of Resident Care Services.\nContribute to psychological and social needs of the residents.\nParticipates as a member of the interdisciplinary team.\nAssist in the serving of resident meals.\nAssist with dining room clean up.\nCarry out security checks according to shift requirements.\nPerform other duties as assigned or requested by the Resident Service Manager, Licensed Nurse, Director of Resident Care Services, or Companion Supervisor (e.g., housekeeping chores).\nQUALIFICATIONS / STANDARDS REQUIRED FOR EMPLOYMENT:\nAbility to read, speak, write and understand the English language fluently.\nPosition requires some pushing, pulling and lifting under 35 pounds.\nMust be qualified in one of the following programs:\nCertified Nurse Aide Program\nHome Health Aide Program\nCompletion of a 54-hour program as a Personal Care Assistant Provider\nAttend and participate in Continuing Educational Programs.\nDemonstrate knowledge of the following:\nFire and disaster plan\nOSHA rules and regulations\nSafety management\nInfection control practices\nBlood borne pathogen standard\nAging process and related disorders\nIn the event the replacement on the next shift has either called out sick or is going to be late in arriving, the employee must stay until ample coverage is arranged to ensure the safety of the residents. In the event coverage is not able to be arranged, the employee must stay until the following replacement shift arrives.
