We are looking for individuals with motivation and eagerness to expand their skillset in infrastructure construction.\nDistrict Overview\nKiewit Southwest District specializes in heavy civil, transportation and water projects, we typically self-perform a large portion of the work. We self-perform work such as mass grading, drainage, PCCP paving, utilities and more. This means your Kiewit adventure is custom-designed to meet our shared needs.\nResponsibilities\nField Engineering:\nAssist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision\nPerform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work\nAssist in the preparation of work plans and work packages\nAssist in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and compilation of as-built data\nAssist in compiling, processing, and confirming daily labor timesheets\nAssist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s)\nParticipate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety training\nOrder and schedule material deliveries\nPlan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the jobsite\nSupervise field operations\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in a construction-related field of engineering or equivalent experience and education\nAt least 2 years of experience in the construction field\nMust have working knowledge and be able to direct the operations of at least these management systems: scheduling - CPM, unit man-hour performance, material control, estimating and subcontracts.\nExperience with leadership and management of people, communication (verbal and written), planning and organization.\nOther Requirements:\nRegular, reliable attendance\nWork productively and meet deadlines timely\nCommunicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.\nPerform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.\nWork during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
