Here are the details on this position.\nYour role in our mission\n\nApply your skills to support Gainwell as we help clients deliver better health and human services outcomes.\n\nCode, test, debug, implement, and document low to moderately complex programs.\nCreate appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation.\nDesign systems and programs to meet business needs.\nPrepares detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded.\nEnsure programs meet standards and technical specifications; performs technical analysis and component delivery.\nGather information from existing systems, analyzes program and time requirements.\nAssist project manager in preparing time estimates and justification for assigned tasks.\nDesign programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs.\nWrite specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity.\nWork with client and management to resolve issues and validate programming requirements within their areas of responsibility.\nDevelop test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.\nConduct quality assurance activities such as peer reviews.\nWhat we're looking for\n\n3+ years of application development and batch programming with UNIX/C and SQL\nBasic understanding of modern software design and development methodologies, and RDBMS databases such SQL Server and Oracle.\nExperience with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to include coding, testing, etc.\nHealthcare IT systems experience is preferred.\nMainframe COBOL programming experience is also preferred\nWhat you should expect in this role\n\nFully remote opportunity with the option to work anywhere within the United States\nOpportunities to travel through your work (0-10%)\noncall requirements: 1 week every 8 weeks\nWillingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required\nVideo cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation\n\n#LI-SH1\n#LI-REMOTE\n\nThe deadline to submit applications for this posting is August 14, 2026\n\nThe pay range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
