Tool and Die - 3rd shift

DescriptionJob ResponsibilitiesParticipates in a structured apprentice program to learn the fundamentals of tool and die making.Assists Tool and Die Journeymen with machining, assembling, and repairing tools and dies.Operates basic machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders.Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts.Assists in the assembly, testing, and adjustment of tools and dies to meet production requirements. Performs routine checks and minor adjustments.Follows all safety regulations and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment.Maintains accurate records of training progress, completed tasks, and tool and die maintenance activities.Performs other duties as assigned.Job Skills RequirementsWillingness to learn and develop new skills.Basic understanding of mathematics and mechanical concepts.Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a manufacturing environment.Educational RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Commencement of a formal apprenticeship program in Tool & Die Making, or willingness to join such a program.Experience RequirementsAt least 1-3 years of manufacturing experience with machine setup and/or tools changing is preferred.Welding experience preferredPhysical & Environmental RequirementsSome physical demand: often lifting/moving average weight (25-50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material, may be required to lift up to 70lbs.Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours).Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).Equal Opportunity Employer
