Senior Commercial Property Accountant

Kitson & Partners, has an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Senior Commercial Property Accountant. This position is responsible for month end closing; income statements and balance sheet analysis; and account reconciliations. In addition, this position provides support during CAM reconciliations, budgets and audits. MUST HAVE Commercial Real Estate and Construction experience.

Responsibilities:
Record monthly accruals, recure, amortization, straight-line rent and adjusting journal entries
Reconciles balance sheet accounts monthly and identify appropriate accounting treatment to resolve discrepancies
Maintain Fixed Assets system, depreciation calculation and journal entries
Prepare monthly cash and loan reconciliations
Prepare sales tax, management fees and related records
Maintain supporting documentation, workpaper and filing system
Analyze variance comments for actual/budget comparison
Review job cost transactions to verify allocations accuracy, and compile draw packet to submit to the lenders
Compile monthly financial partners packets accurately and timely
Review Accounts Payable Vouchers
Performs Annual CAM Reconciliations
Compile and submit the monthly lender capital funding requisitions
Assist with preparation of annual budgets and semi-annual forecasts
· Ad-hoc projects as requested by Senior Management
Skills and Abilities:

· Must be conscientious, detail-oriented and produce accurate financial results/reports.
· Must be able to demonstrate ability to effectively multitask.
· Communicate effectively and efficiently with peers.
· Provide customer service support to field offices.
· Be cognizant of situations where supervisors need to become involved.
· Strong time management, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Timberline and Yardi.
Educations and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
Minimum 4+ years of experience in commercial office and retail accounting.
