Duties include sample examination and analyses, recording, interpreting, and result reporting of test results. You are responsible for completing all required Quality Control, compliance with all certification requirements, and maintaining all required safety standards. Work hours are Monday - Friday, 7.5 hour day.\n\nA Day in the Life\nThe essential functions of this role are as follows:\n\nConduct wastewater sample concentration, RNA extraction and PCR molecular testing.\n\nMaintain laboratory record system of submitted samples.\n\nEvaluate, interpret, and validate laboratory results.\n\nConduct quality control checks on laboratory methods, materials, and equipment.\n\nAssist with preparation of reports from data compiled.\n\nParticipate in evaluation of new products used in environmental laboratory work.\n\nThe job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities required of the employee.
