You will be involved and making sure you bridge the gap between production staff and management. Key to this role will be to learn in a fast past environment.\n\nWhat you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)\nWhile each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:\n\nProduction Management: Planning, scheduling, and executing daily assembly operations to meet customer demand, ensuring on-time completion.\n\nQuality & Compliance: Monitoring production to ensure products meet quality specifications, investigating root causes of defects, and enforcing safety regulations.\n\nLeadership: Training, mentoring, supervising, and motivating assembly workers.\n\nProcess Improvement: Implementing Lean principles, continuous improvement initiatives, and reducing waste to increase productivity and reduce costs.\n\nResource Coordination: Managing materials, inventory, and equipment maintenance to prevent downtime.\n\nReporting: Preparing production reports, tracking KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and reporting to senior management.\n\nWhat we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)\nWe each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:\n\nRequired Experience\n\nExperience 5-10 years in a lean manufacturing environment\n\nExperience in a leadership/ supervisory role\n\nPreferred Experience, Knowledge Skills, and Abilities\n\nProficiency in interpreting technical blueprints, schematics, and operating machinery.\n\nStrong communication abilities.\n\nProblem solving abilities.\n\nExperience with new facility start-up and management of change implementation.\n\nUnderstanding of manufacturing processes and associated safety hazards especially associated with assembly or large products and use of overhead cranes.\n\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex safety concepts to diverse audiences\n\nDemonstrated ability to collaborate, influence, and coach stakeholders at varying levels of the organization\n\nStrong organizational and time management skills with the proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple project simultaneously\n\nProficiency in using software applications and tools for safety reporting, data analysis, and documentation\n\nStrong PC skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including the ability to develop summary graphs, tables, pivot tables, and other reports using PowerPoint, Excel, and Word\n\nEducation & Certifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred\n\nCertified Safety professional preferred\n\nFirst Aid/CPR certification preferred\n\nManufacturing environment with potential exposure to weather conditions, and/or noise\n\nHow we live our culture\nOur culture is at the center of what we do and, more importantly, who we are.
