Candidates should be able to work independently, think critically, and contribute to project work with limited oversight while continuing to grow within MKThink's frameworks.\nRather than focusing primarily on designing buildings, this position centers on shaping the strategies, systems, and decisions that inform what gets built, and why.\nWho This Role Is For\nThis role is for candidates who:\nHave a background in a design discipline and strong spatial intuition\nAre seeking to move beyond traditional design delivery into strategy and advisory work\nAre curious about how space influences performance, behavior, and outcomes\nWant to work across disciplines—integrating design, data, and systems thinking\nAre motivated to have broader impact at organizational or societal scales\nAre comfortable taking ownership of workstreams and contributing to client-facing deliverables early on\nResponsibilities:\nDiscovery and Problem Definition\nContribute to client engagements to define and frame complex challenges related to space, performance, and organizational goals\nConduct research to build a systems-level understanding of the problem context\nHelp develop guiding principles and success metrics\nIdentify data needs and opportunities to strengthen decision-making\nAnalysis & Insight Development\nSynthesize qualitative and quantitative inputs into clear, actionable insights\nTranslate findings into organizational and spatial implications\nDevelop scenario models to test strategies against key performance criteria\nCollaborate with analysts and designers to connect data with physical outcomes\nStrategy & Recommendations\nContribute to the development of space programs, organizational models, and planning strategies\nDevelop implementation roadmaps\nContribute to policy frameworks and design guidelines\nProduce clear, well-structured deliverables, including presentations, reports, and planning documents\nStakeholder Engagement\nPlan and facilitate interviews, workshops, focus groups, and surveys\nCommunicate complex ideas clearly through verbal, visual, and written formats\nProject & Client Support\nSupport project planning and coordination\nContribute to presentations and deliverables\nAssist with business development materials\nRequired Skills and Abilities:\nStrong ability to synthesize research and communicate insights clearly\nSpatial thinking skills and ability to visualize spatial concepts\nQuantitative fluency and ability to work with data teams\nExcellent storytelling across formats (written, verbal, visual)\nCreative problem-solving and systems thinking\nAbility to structure work, manage time effectively, and produce high-quality outputs with limited direction\nProficiency with:\nMicrosoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint),\nAdobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat)\nArchitectural design tools (CAD and/or 3D modeling software).\nExposure to GIS or analytics is a plus\nExperience in project management is a plus\nWorking with Others:\nSelf-awareness and the ability to reflect on performance and drive continuous improvement.\nAbility to work independently, prioritize effectively, and seek support when needed.\nFlexibility in collaborating with teams and clients;
