The successful candidate will work across multiple programmes, provide technical direction, support the development of new capabilities, and serve as a recognised subject-matter expert within the organisation.The role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex aerospace and defence programmes while mentoring engineering talent and influencing the development of future mission systems capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership for analysis activities across current and future mission systems programmes.Develop and validate requirements for communications, sensor, electronic warfare, electromagnetic, and related systems and components.Develop advanced data fusion algorithms to integrate information from multiple sources in support of complex mission objectives.Lead trade studies, modelling, simulation, and analytical activities to assess system and component performance.Develop and improve modelling and simulation techniques to support design optimisation and engineering decision-making.Lead the development and execution of critical testing to validate system performance against established requirements.Analyse complex test data and support anomaly resolution and performance investigations.Monitor and support critical supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance with technical requirements.Provide technical guidance throughout the product lifecycle, including resolution of complex engineering and system issues.Support programme management activities, including development of work statements, budgets, schedules, technical reviews, and project inputs.Mentor and develop early-career and associate-level engineers.Collaborate across engineering, programme management, suppliers, customers, and other technical stakeholders.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.14+ years of relevant professional experience with a bachelor's degree, or:12+ years with a master's degree, or9+ years with a PhD.Strong technical experience in engineering analysis, modelling, simulation, or mission systems.Ability to provide technical leadership across complex engineering programmes.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking capabilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience leading or mentoring engineering teams within Mission Systems.Experience analysing complex test data and resolving system anomalies.Previous experience holding an active U.S. security clearance within the past 24 months.Experience with aerospace, defence, military, electronic warfare, sensor, communications, or related mission systems.Experience with advanced modelling, simulation, data fusion, or systems-level analysis.Additional RequirementsThis position is 100% on-site in Berkeley, Missouri.U.S. citizenship is required to obtain the necessary U.S. security clearance.A U.S. Secret Security Clearance is required following employment.U.S. export control requirements apply;
