Starting Hourly Rate Based on Qualifications:\$19.34 JOBSUMMARY, DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS: Job Summary The Custodian ensuresa clean, safe, and well-maintained environment by performing a varietyof cleaning, light maintenance, and event setup tasks across campusfacilities. Responsibilities include maintaining floors, restrooms, andother surfaces; operating cleaning equipment; and managing the safehandling of chemicals. This position will be located at our Wittenberglocation and will work 6 hours per week. Essential Functions andResponsibilities Facility Cleaning and Maintenance and Event Setup Cleanand maintain various flooring surfaces, including LVT, tile, carpet, andconcrete. Scrub and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets,fixtures, walls, and floors. Restock restroom supplies such as paperproducts and soap. Clean windows, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables. Set up and move furnitureand equipment for events. Equipment Operation and Safety Operate andmaintain equipment such as vacuums, carpet shampooers, scrubbers, andbuffing machines. Handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with safetyprotocols. Utilize ladders safely to perform cleaning and maintenancetasks. Building Security and Emergency Support Lock and unlock doors toensure the security of assigned buildings. Respond to emergencies andassist management as necessary. Assist with directing customers to safelocations during severe weather. Additional Responsibilities Unpack andput away supply orders. Remove snow from assigned building entrances.Use college vehicles for local pickups or drop-offs of supplies orEquipment. Replace Light Bulbs.
