This is a remote work position. The Senior Java Web Developer will work on supporting web and API-based software solutions for clients. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, unit/integration testing, and implementing these solutions.\nJob Requirements:\nCollaborating with a team of application specialists in supporting our client's enterprise applications\nDeveloping and unit testing REST web services and solutions using https-based web applications. Knowledge of tools like SOAP UI and Postman is a must\nTranslating business requirements into code in compliance with defined development standards, including all code documentation and design documentation\nWriting backend as well as frontend code for web-based applications\nResolving defects in a timely and thorough manner based on SLAs.\nAssessing and triage issues at various levels based on priority and urgency\nEscalating issues to management, as appropriate\nSimultaneously managing multiple priorities to ensure timelines are met\nParticipating in cross training and knowledge sharing of best practices, both within and outside of the team.\nRapidly learning new applications and technologies as new systems are added to the client programs\nPromoting teamwork and effective communication. Fostering mutually beneficial working relationships with all client team members.\nDelivering defect-free solutions that are compliant with industry and application best practices.\nAnalyzing periodic, vendor-released application upgrades\nKey Responsibilities:\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nExcellent client focus\nThe ability to work well under pressure and to perform to deadlines\nTeam player who is self-aware\nSound decision making ability with the ability to consult where needed\nHigh level of attention to detail and a desire to drive quality\nThe ability to work unsupervised\nAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards\nSedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationery most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.\nAbility to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor\nMinimum of 7 years of experience as a Programmer/Analyst, Software Developer, IT Consultant, or similar occupation.
