{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"beeeef4e6d95b89490a03ead","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/beeeef4e6d95b89490a03ead","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/beeeef4e6d95b89490a03ead","title":"Construction Materials Testing Inspector","description":"Construction Materials Testing Inspector\nMy client is a far eastside environmental firm that is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Inspector to join their growing team.\nConstruction Materials Testing Inspector Responsibilities:\nThe Construction Materials Testing Inspector will be responsible for inspecting and evaluating construction materials used by contractors.\nReview project drawings and specifications\nResponsible for the field compaction testing, sampling and observation of soils, aggregate and asphalt utilizing density gauges\nPerforms concrete, grout, and masonry quality control tests through sampling and visual observation, performing slump, air, unit weight and temperature tests as well as cast specimens for compressive and flexural strength specimens.\nSampling of asphalt cores to verify thickness, density, and % air voids.\nDaily communication with site contractors, agency representatives, other technicians and project managers.\nComplete accurate and detailed field testing reports and/or diagrams.\nAbility to assist other technicians on larger projects\nAbility to perform simple calculations\nMaintain cleanliness of company vehicle and assigned testing equipment\nFollow company safety guidelines and project specific safety requirements\nConstruction Materials Testing Inspector Qualifications:\nMinimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required.\nMust have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.\nMust have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.\nMust have experience in managing multiple projects at once.\nMust have basic computer skills to document daily activities.\nMust be able to maintain a professional appearance.\nExperience preferred, but not necessary, training will be provided.\nMust have experience in using Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word.\nMust be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.\nJob Type: Full-time\nPay: $57,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year\nBenefits:\n401(k) matching\nDental insurance\nHealth insurance\nLife insurance\nPaid time off\nVision insurance\nApplication Question(s):\nAre you able to travel around Indiana on a daily basis?
