Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available in an on-site capacity within a school setting located in San Francisco, CA. This contract position runs promptly through June 3, 2026, offering 40 hours per week. Candidates will primarily conduct Pre-K intake assessments and provide FMLA coverage for an existing SLP at an elementary school for the remainder of the academic year.Key Responsibilities:Conduct Pre-K intake speech and language assessmentsProvide comprehensive speech therapy services in compliance with district and state guidelinesCollaborate with educators and families to support student communication needsMaintain detailed and accurate documentation of evaluations and therapy sessionsQualifications and Experience:Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA)Clear or Professional Speech Services Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) preferred but not requiredExperience in school-based SLP services, specifically Pre-K population assessmentsFluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or bilingual language skills are highly preferredCandidates currently holding a Clinical Fellowship (CF) are not eligible for this roleLocation:On-site presence is mandatory; virtual or voice-only coverage is not acceptedPosition based in San Francisco, California school districtThis contract opportunity provides a chance to work closely within a school environment, supporting young learners with developmental speech and language needs.
