{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"beeb82842fc509e050fc2ace","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/beeb82842fc509e050fc2ace","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/beeb82842fc509e050fc2ace","title":"Pathologists' Assistant Manager","description":"JOB SUMMARY:\n\nThe Pathologist Assistant Manager is responsible for managing the accessioning and grossing staff and processes.\n\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\n\nDissect and submit appropriate sections of surgical pathology specimens and dictate gross descriptions.\nSupervise workflow for surgical specimens once accessioned and through gross dissection.\nAct as liaison for PA's to Administration, Pathologists, Transcription, Histology, and other PathGroup departments and facilities.\nActively participate in, and have knowledge of, laboratory performance improvement activities, including resolution of accessioning and grossing issues and concerns and evaluation of new equipment and/or procedures.\nPerform personnel-related duties such as interviewing, hiring, scheduling, completing performance evaluations/corrective action notices, competency assessment, training, and supervising of accessioning and grossing staff.\nCreate and update grossing standard operating procedures and grossing protocols.\nMonitor and make adjustments as needed to workflow and processes.\nContinuously monitor and address issues with grossing quality, productivity, and turnaround times.\nExercise all laboratory safety precautions and adhere to lab procedures as stated in procedure manuals.\nPerform all job responsibilities in alignment with the industry's best security practices and regulatory guidelines to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information and other sensitive company data.\nSupport PathGroup's mission, vision, goals and management decisions.\nBecome familiar with and abide by the Corporate Compliance Program and all corporate policies, including the Privacy and Security policies;
