This role is more than just a job—it’s a chance to leave a lasting impact on those who need it most.Role Highlights: As a Family Medicine Physician, you’ll evaluate, treat, and manage patients, addressing both acute and chronic conditions with care and compassion.Work Environment: Thrive in a supportive, team-based atmosphere where collaboration and mentorship are prioritized.Growth Opportunities: Take advantage of professional development resources, including loan repayment programs, to grow your career and skillset.Community Impact: Be a vital part of our mission to provide accessible, comprehensive healthcare to underservedWork: Build relationships with patients and empower them to live healthier lives.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough and focused assessments of patients’ health, ensuring their immediate and long-term needs are addressed.Perform physical examinations and document detailed health histories to guide care plans.Collaborate closely with specialists and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests to create individualized treatment plans.Educate patients on acute health conditions, available treatment options, and preventive care /DO: Supervise mid-level providers, such as Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, fostering a collaborative environment.Promote teamwork to achieve organizational goals in care delivery and customer service excellence.Participate in safety training, environmental audits, and compliance with exposure control protocols to ensure a safe workplace.Maintain work areas and equipment to meet organizational standards and support seamlessannual education programs and any other assigned duties to stay current and compliant.Minimum QualificationsMD/DO: Medical Doctor with current licensureMD/DO:Board certification (or Board eligible) requiredAPP: Current license from the Texas Board of Nursing and completion of program at an accredited school or graduation from an accredited program as Physician Assistant and current Texas state licensure or eligibility for licensureParticipation in Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal/state reimbursement programs.Ability to meet Legacy Community Health’s EPIC proficiency requirements.Demonstrated competency with an EHRS system.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Above-average organizational skills.Strong typing and computer skills.Access to sensitive information requiring secure management and discretion.Ability to manage multiple deadlines and complex decision-making.About Legacy Community HealthAs the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Southeast Texas, Legacy Community Health has been delivering comprehensive, high-quality, and affordable health care for nearly 40 years.
