Project Architect With over 30 years in practice, one of the country's leading architectural and interior design firms specializing in life sciences, education, and workplace is actively seeking a Project Architect to join their Mountain View or San Diego office. The studio specializes in the design of laboratories, clean rooms, manufacturing facilities, data centers, and high-performance workplace environments, for clients working in the life sciences, electronics, mission-critical, education, and medicine.With 180+ staff, they provide programming, master planning, building, and interior design services, including laboratory, cGMP, and medical planning, to new and established companies, institutions, developers, and healthcare providers. Office locations include Mountain View, San Francisco, Sacramento, and San Diego.Role Requirements Project Architect, Bachelor of Architecture with California license required, with a minimum of 5 years of technical expertise in commercial architecture including demonstrated success as a project architect on a range of corporate interiors project types.Qualifications Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with confidence and professionalismExceptional organizational skillsProven capacity for leadership responsibilities and directing a teamAbility to work effectively on multiple projects, to set priorities and maintain schedulesDesign development experience, planning, coordinating and overseeing production of construction drawings.Experience with the entire project lifecycle, through post-occupancyContract management, experience negotiating project scope and feesAn understanding of building materials, details, and construction techniquesA thorough knowledge of building codes, standards, and ADA expertiseKnowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelinesAdvanced knowledge of QA/QC processAbility to work constructively with entitlement agenciesAbility to coordinate consultants and contractorsConstruction administration skillsMust have the ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationshipsProficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, PhotoShop, Microsoft Office Suite, and BluebeamThe studio is seeking high-energy, creative, well-rounded people with a desire to collaborate/communicate and create innovative design for their prestigious clients throughout Northern California.
