The ideal candidate must be a U.S. Citizen , possess extensive structural design experience , and demonstrate proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam . Prior experience with nuclear projects is a plus .\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nEngineering Standards & Quality Assurance:\n\nUtilize and provide guidance on engineering standards, systems, document control, and departmental procedures.\nEnsure deliverables comply with project-specific codes and standards.\nPromote quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement throughout the design process.\nMaintain control and records of design documents according to project requirements.\n\nDesign & Engineering Production:\n\nDevelop moderately complex structural design concepts based on engineering principles.\nPerform and review design calculations, material quantity estimates, and related documentation.\nUse advanced modeling and design software such as Revit and Bluebeam.\nReview work from other designers and engineers for consistency and accuracy.\nAssist in defining work assignments and project schedules.\n\nProject Coordination & Field Support:\n\nCollaborate with other design disciplines to ensure a coordinated design effort.\nSupport field activities and communicate design requirements, progress, and milestones.\n\nClient Focus:\n\nUnderstand client needs and incorporate them into design strategies.\nCommunicate client priorities to project teams to ensure alignment and satisfaction.\n\nKnowledge Sharing & Innovation:\n\nContribute to the development of design standards and process improvement initiatives.\nIdentify training needs and mentor less experienced team members.\nRecognized for expertise in one or more technical areas within structural design.\n\nTeam Leadership & Resource Management:\n\nSupervise and mentor junior design staff.\nAssist with staffing decisions and monitor resource availability and project alignment.\nParticipate in performance evaluations, career development planning, and team training.\n\nPreferred Technical Skills:\n\nAdvanced proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, CADD, and related design/modeling tools.\nStrong understanding of engineering standards, systems, and document control protocols.\nFamiliarity with construction practices, procurement processes, and project estimating.\nKnowledge of quality assurance programs and cross-discipline coordination.\n\nPreferred Soft Skills:\n\nLearning on the Fly\nProblem Solving\nPerseverance & Patience\nTime Management\nDrive for Results\nSelf-Development\nActive Listening\nClear Communication\n\nQualifications:\n\nAssociate or Bachelor's Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design-Related Technology (preferred).\nMinimum of 8 years of relevant structural design experience.\nU.S. Citizenship is required (due to the nature of the projects).\nAbility to pass all pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks, drug screening, and MVR (if applicable).\n\nSeniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level\nEmployment type Employment type Full-time\nJob function Job function Other\nIndustries IT Services and IT Consulting\nReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at TALENT Software Services by 2x\nSign in to set job alerts for “Structural Engineer” roles.
