Activities Coordinator

Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activities Coordinator to work with individuals who have traumatic brain injuries and disabilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating engaging activities aligned with residents' treatment plans, enhancing their quality of life, and promoting social interaction. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 30 hours per week Key Responsibilities: Plan and coordinate daily activities that support residents’ treatment goals and improve their daily living skills. Create a daily calendar of activities, ensuring a variety of options to engage residents. Conduct charting for each activity, documenting participation and outcomes to be entered into state reporting systems. Select activities that foster independence, socialization, and overall well-being. Maintain a patient and understanding approach while working with individuals with mental health challenges. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure activities are tailored to individual needs and preferences. Evaluate and adjust activity plans based on resident feedback and progress. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field. Must hold either a Therapeutic Recreation Therapist (TRT) or Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (TRTS) certification. Working on certification close to graduation will be considered. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or mental health issues is preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
