Specific focus areas will include enterprise architecture and systems integration and communications over complex networks.\nReporting within the Digital Product Management organization, the successful candidate will be highly collaborative, technically savvy, and passionate about delivering impactful user experiences to customers. The Cloud Solutions Architect’s role involves designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure, ensuring that it meets Pratt’s needs for scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness. It requires a strong understanding of cloud technologies, architecture principles, and excellent leadership skills.\nSpecific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:\nDevelop, implement and support Pratt’s cloud computing strategy.\nDevelop and maintain documentation regarding infrastructure, architectures, configurations and procedures.\nGain understanding of how all parts of the technical business model work together including processes and architectures.\nResearch emerging technologies and propose pivots where needed adding new ideas and insight while contributing to business value.\nManage the organization's cloud infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking.\nMonitor the performance of the Pratt’s cloud infrastructure and make recommendations for improvements.\nSupport issue resolution for cloud solutions and infrastructure by working closely with cross-functional teams.\nHelp lead and influence scrum teams to effectively meet architectural plans.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nBachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field and 8+ years of experience with relevant technology, including (but not limited to) enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures for data and analytics, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management; OR an Advanced degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field and 5+ years of experience with relevant technology, including (but not limited to) enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures for data and analytics, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management; OR in lieu of a degree, candidates with 12+ years of experience with relevant technology, including (but not limited to) enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures for data and analytics, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management, will also be considered for the role.\nMust be a U.S. Citizen - this position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.\nQualifications We Prefer:\nMaster’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field preferred.\nExperience with software development life cycle and coding or scripting experience.\nExperience with application scalability and performance testing.\nExperience with deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).\nDocker containers / equivalent Kubernetes infrastructure.\nDemonstrated experience designing and building architectures with distributed and tiered applications or real time data movement with edge devices that use security and encryption protocols.\nDemonstrated expertise with a with large-scale application portfolios in enterprise-wide environments (including migration of on premise to cloud) and security aspects of cloud architecture.\nDeep domain expertise of cloud infrastructure solutions (i.e. Windows and Linux IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, SAP, BCDR, Security, Management, Storage, Networking, OSS, containers and Infra as a code technologies).\nExperience with Linux and Windows operating systems.\nDeep knowledge of database architecture, database modeling, high availability, data storage with enterprise management processes.\nStrong skills in application configuration, scripting and coding (PowerShell, Java, Python, Shell scripts.\nDemonstrated experience with at least two additional modern data/cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, SQL Server, Synapse.\nStrong ability to communicate technical plans to technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders at all levels of organization.\nExperience working in an Agile software development framework.\nLearn More & Apply Now:\nIn addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work.
