The candidate will have an opportunity to assist in development and deployment of the software products that supports US and International Defense Services and Agencies. This position may be Remote.\n\nJob Description\n\nBecome a contributor to an important wargaming simulation software product.\n\nAdvance the product’s capabilities for customers by incorporating a design into a functional capability.\n\nHelp develop, integrate, and execute new and/or modified models and tools.\n\nReview documentation for the software product.\n\nBuild and deploy an instance of the software on a Virtual Machine.Document lessons learned from deployment.\n\nProduce a set of recommendations to improve existing training guides for the product.\n\nPerform research and development reports on key designs – such as analysis of capabilities in Node.js applicable to the product.\n\nQualifications\n\nMust be pursuing a BS or BA in a STEM discipline with a preference of software development, mathematics, engineering, or computer/software engineering.\n\nMust have experience with JAVA, C++, PYTHON or other common languages.\n\nMust have experience with computer systems administration, such as Linux, Windows, or IOS.\n\nMust demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.\n\nMust have advanced time management, problem solving, organizational, and critical thinking skills.\n\nMust have the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.\n\nDesired Qualifications\n\nKnowledge of software design patterns and applying them in an existing product’s architecture, preferred.\n\nExperience with develop tracking tools sets – Azure, Git, or other, preferred.\n\nExperience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery, preferred.\n\nExperience with virtualization and / or container-based deployment, preferred.Experience with APIs and data exchanges between applications, preferred.\n\nTravel Requirements\n\nOccasional Travel- less than 20%\n\nPossible temporary travel to Pacific Grove, CA or Huntsville, AL to be get exposure to the software product teams.\n\nCandidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
