We're looking for a Machine Operator to join our 1st shift production team. This hands-on role is critical to keeping our operations running efficiently and safely. If you're ready to work around heavy machinery, contribute to a fast-paced team, and grow your skills in a stable environment-this could be your next career move.\nKey Accountabilities:\nMust be certified in the material handler position.\nOperate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.\nPull, inspect and verify product before processing.\nProperly and safely set up equipment to run material to set up note specifications.\nProcess set up notes according to work order specifications.\nVerify that product meets set up note specifications per written work instructions and record measurements (sampling plan).\nCommunicate with appropriate sales representative regarding changes/clarification to orders.\nPerform equipment preventive maintenance; Perform general clean-up.\nProperly enter/delete material identification tags per written instructions.\nAssist in the packaging of material per written work instructions and work order.\nMaintain issued measurement equipment in working condition.\nProperly operate weighing scale and record inspection measurements.\nIdentify, record, and segregate scrap and any non-conforming material.\nProvide feedback to supervision regarding machine efficiency and product quality.\nComplete job responsibilities in a manner that does not put him/herself or other individuals in an unsafe situation.\nTrain others when required.\nAssist in any activities related to lean and/or quality.\nThis is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.\nMeets TKMNA Employee Attributes / Competencies\nMinimum Requirements:\nAn individual must posses a high school diploma/ GED\nAbility to read and write\nAbility to lift and carry up to 40 lbs\nPerform basic math skills\nSafety Mindset\nPreferred Requirements:\nPrevious warehouse experience - especially in the plastics industry\nPrevious forklift experience\nUse of hand held measuring tools\nComputer literate.\nThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirement for the performance of this job.
