Human Resource Manager
Job Summary:
The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources department including hiring and interviewing employees, administering pay and benefits, recording and tracking leave, and implementing company policies and practices.

Bucked Up is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking, and skilled Human Resources Manager (HRM) to oversee the strategy and implementation of policies relating to our most important asset—our employees. The HRM will partner with the leadership team to ensure that the Human Resource functions support Bucked Up’s objectives and create a supportive, rewarding, and engaged workplace that positions the company for growth. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR generalist with outstanding ability to represent and embody Bucked Up’s brand, and a dedication to continual improvement of the company’s HR practices. This is an on-site position based at Bucked Up’s offices in American Fork, UT.
Responsibilities:
Partner with leadership team to address current and future Human Resources needs in meeting the company’s strategic objectives
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
Manage and aid in the development and implementation of payroll processes and procedures
Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to managers to support them in their daily responsibilities
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and conduct thorough and objective investigations, as necessary
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering with external resources and counsel as needed or required
Maintain impeccable records for all employees, programs, actions, benefits, and compensation
Collaborate closely with leadership team to build training processes and evaluate outcomes
Maintain employee benefits programs by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends, recommending benefit programs to management, directing the processing of benefit claims, and designing and conducting educational programs on benefits programs.
Drive company-wide programs in the areas of talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, service values, and recognition
Designs and oversees training and development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
Identifies high-potential employees and creates career development paths.
Measures and analyzes employee engagement metrics.
Qualifications:
5+ years’ experience as an HR professional at the management level, in organizations with an increasing scope of responsibility
In-depth knowledge of compensation principles, talent management, and market trends
Outstanding partnership, listening and negotiation skills with strong ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
Strong ability to manage and prioritize tasks, even when facing competing deadlines.
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Flexible and responsive, capable of adapting to changing business needs.
Reliable team player with the ability to work independently.
Experienced in recruiting, evaluating, onboarding and retaining staff
Experience in developing and managing external human resource partners and interfacing with legal counsel
Strong proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant, contemporary digital platform
Preference for candidates with a degree in Human Resources or related field
Preference for candidates with PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
A minimum of five years of human resource management experience preferred.
PHR, SHRM-CP or higher preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
Pay range:
$70,000-$75,000/yr
