Also, helping with ordering and setting up food for monthly staff meetings, Friday choir practices and other events throughout the year.\r\nSpiritual Requirements\r\nHas a personal and saving relationship with Jesus Christ, evidenced by a lifestyle that demonstrates the Word of God, and is in regular fellowship with other members in a Bible-believing church.\r\nAgrees with the By The Hand Club Doctrinal Statement and adheres to the Employee Biblical Standards of Living.\r\nShows by example, the importance of Scripture memorization, Bible study, prayer, witnessing, and Christian fellowship.\r\nParticipates in weekly team prayer and devotion.\r\nHas completed an evangelism course and is trained and prepared to share the gospel with anyone who inquires.\r\nWorks with leadership to monitor and enforce policies and procedures to further the By The Hand's religious purpose and religious freedom.\r\nRole Responsibilities\r\nPerforms in a way that is consistent with the vision, mission and culture of By The Hand and commits to excellence in every aspect of the overall operation.\r\nModels the cultural values of By The Hand Club For Kids in day-to-day behavior.\r\nFollows all policies as outlined in the operational guide, including training and maintaining brand standards and ensuring 100% adherence to the Child Protection Policy.\r\nWorks with staff and leadership to monitor and enforce policies and procedures to further the BTH religious purpose and religious freedom.\r\nManages our meal program by weekly kitchen checks, trains new staff on meal protocols, quarterly food audits, and approves monthly meal counts and invoices.\r\nSchedules buses for programming and trips, which also includes approving transportation invoices.\r\nResponsible for managing the transportation and catering budget.\r\nOrders and helps set up food for all staff meetings, training sessions and program events, such as etiquette classes and choir practices.\r\nAssists VP of Operations with event planning, such as the all-staff meetings, Spring Benefits, Boxes of Love, Christmas in the City, reading playoffs, SEL Olympic games, Six Flags, etc.\r\nAssists in organizing and executing the backpack and Christmas gift drives.\r\nAssists the clothing consultant with organizing and conducting clothes fittings.\r\nAssists with enrichment partnerships like Green Bronx, training, ordering supplies and materials.\r\nBe available to be a substitute team leader, coach, or SAES at sites when the need arises.\r\nPerforms all other duties as required and assigned.\r\nRequired Skills / Abilities\r\nThis position requires a Christ-like servant leader who has a sense of calling and who models Biblical principles.\r\nPassion and commitment to urban student transformation, confidence to lead in a challenging situation and belief that all children can learn.\r\nAnalyzes spending and keeps tight records of accounts.\r\nSharp eye and attention to detail.\r\nIs an approved van driver and can drive truck/van rentals.\r\nOutstanding problem-solving skills with an orientation toward results, action, impact, and influence.\r\nAbility to work both as a team player and independently.\r\nProven ability to work under tight deadlines and multi-task well.\r\nHas demonstrated classroom management proficiency using Fred Jones Tools for Teaching and SEL trauma-informed approach.\r\nAdheres to our Employee Standards of Living.\r\nAbility to work on a flexible schedule including frequent evenings and weekends.\r\nEffective time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.\r\nHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.\r\nExcellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.\r\nBuilds relationships with vendors, colleagues, and other service providers.\r\nEducation and Experience\r\nB.A. or B.S. in related fields and equivalent experience.\r\nExperience in accounting and project management with a focus on budgeting, vendor contracts, and vendor relationships.\r\nExtensive knowledge of Google Suite, Excel, Questica, PowerPoint.\r\nMust have a valid driver's license, available transportation, and their own auto insurance to travel around the Chicagoland area.\r\nWork Environment\r\nThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopies and filing cabinets.\r\nPhysical Demands\r\nThe employee is regularly required to speak and listen. This role may require you to move equipment from room to room and lift up to 50 pounds.
