{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"be93757b414082c2cebf875c","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/be93757b414082c2cebf875c","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/be93757b414082c2cebf875c","title":"PLC Control Systems Engineer","description":"Overview We are currently hiring a Controls Systems Engineer to join our busy 24/7 amorphous metal manufacturing plant.\nResponsibilities Committed to ensuring the safety of self and others through the following of all safety practices and procedures.\nProvides expertise and supervises process control programming function.\nPerforms maintenance on existing systems as assigned such as software backups.\nTests and performs validity checks on program logic.\nPrepares documentation of developed programs according to accepted standards.\nParticipates in determining hardware and software requirements for continued effective operation.\nDevelops new business proposals.\nAbility to write and execute capital projects, working with contractors and maintenance to achieve desired result from a project standpoint as well as a productivity standpoint.\nPanel design and layout, bill of materials, and wiring schematic capabilities are expected with this position.\nDevelops computer programs to assist in troubleshooting and calibrating process automation hardware.\nDevelop training modules to assist maintenance in troubleshooting process equipment.\nKey Success Factors Analyze current systems and develop strategy for future growth.\nImplement control system improvement to realize plant capacity productivity gains.\nWork closely with IT to populate / create databases necessary for improved process capability and understanding.\nIncrease plant availability.\nAttributes/Skills Required/Sought Proficiency in PLC programming language (Allen-Bradley and GE Fanuc preferred).\nHMI programming and configuration of Wonderware and Rockwell Software.\nGood knowledge and application of Oracle Databases.\nWorking knowledge of industrial instrumentation, process control theory and computer systems.\nAbility to analyze technical process related data.\nWorking knowledge of motors, drives and various field devices a plus.\nFirm understanding of electrical engineering practices.\nThe candidate must have experience reading and red-lining P&ID drawings.\nMust be able to work most of the time in a warm/hot plant environment.\nMust be able to lift, push, and pull up to 100 lbs as/when needed.\nMust be able to kneel, crawl, bend, and crouch to perform work tasks.\nMust be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.\nExperience/Education Required/Sought BS degree in Electrical Engineering, or Process Engineering.\nLadder logic programming experience related to process automation and control.\nThis position requires compliance with ITAR and/or EAR and will require candidates to provide proof during the candidate screening process.\nItar/EAR compliance: This position requires compliance with ITAR and/or EAR requirements. As a potential candidate for this position, you must be a “U.S. Person” (as defined under 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 and 15 C.F.R. § 772.1).
