And we want individuals that take that seriously.\r\nThis Technical Maintenance Manager position works in our Sidney, OH facility, producing Mama Rosa's pizza, and is responsible for overseeing facility-wide production and packaging maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, equipment repair/rebuild, electrical, and equipment noise control.\r\nResponsibilities\r\n\r\n\r\nDirects and assists managers and supervisors engaged in the daily operation of the production and maintenance departments.\r\n\r\n\r\nDevelops the budget and controls for department spending at budgeted levels.\r\n\r\n\r\nMaintains actual cost of goods at or below standard.\r\n\r\n\r\nInvestigates ways to reduce scrap, waste, out-of-specification and contaminated ingredients.\r\n\r\n\r\nExplores ways to reduce the manpower and effort needed to produce products without sacrificing quality.\r\n\r\n\r\nResearches and proposes equipment and employee utilization for cost effectiveness.\r\n\r\n\r\nPresents proposals to the Director of Manufacturing.\r\n\r\n\r\nMonitors performance of the manufacturing facility by using reports from Plant Management, Human Resources, and Food Safety Quality.\r\n\r\n\r\nPrepares and/or compiles operating reports for the Director of Manufacturing. Follows up on opportunities for improvement with appropriate management in all operating areas.\r\n\r\n\r\nResponsible for the effective utilization of employees, skills development, mechanical downtime, equipment effectiveness, housekeeping, safety, policy administration, discipline, employee relations, cost control and problem solving while ensuring budgeted performance is monitored and compliant.\r\n\r\n\r\nEnsures that plant facilities and equipment meet OSHA standards.\r\n\r\n\r\nResponsible to ensure that all work is performed in a safe manner and that all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is worn as necessary.\r\n\r\n\r\nEnsures employees under their supervision receive the proper safety training in accordance with Company, Local, State, and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.\r\n\r\n\r\nManages, trains and develops Maintenance Supervisors and other indirect reports.\r\n\r\n\r\nBe responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.\r\n\r\n\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nEducation: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent\r\nYears of Related Experience: 10+ years\r\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:\r\n\r\n\r\nMust possess management/supervisory experience.\r\n\r\n\r\nPrior experience in food manufacturing with exposure to USDA/FDA regulations strongly recommended\r\n\r\n\r\nRelated course work in electrical, mechanical or programmable logic controls.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.\r\n\r\n\r\nGood computer skills utilizing SAP, Outlook, Excel, and Word.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to train all levels of maintenance positions.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\r\n\r\n\r\nGood mechanical, people, math, communication, and problem solving skills.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to work with people under stress.\r\n\r\n\r\nDemonstrated organizational ability to handle project management, multiple tasks, prioritizing is necessary, and meeting required deadlines.\r\n\r\n\r\nGood communication and effective, positive interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively in a diverse work group.\r\n\r\n\r\nPrevious Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required, preferably in the food industry.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to maintain sensitive and confidential information.\r\n\r\n\r\nProactive in seeking solutions and continuous improvement opportunities.\r\n\r\n\r\nWilling to be involved as necessary with all shifts.\r\n\r\n\r\nThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications associated with the job.
