Also, directs and coordinates activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical/electromechanical products and systems by performing the following duties:\n\n*Job Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer:*\n\n* Develop detailed mechanical designs and specifications using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo, including mechanical drawings and schematics.\n* Conduct tolerance analysis and mechanical detail drawings to ensure precision and compliance with industry standards such as ASME codes.\n* Perform finite element analysis (FEA) to validate mechanical integrity and optimize designs for performance and durability.\n* Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including electrical engineers, manufacturing specialists, and project managers—to integrate system design requirements.\n* Utilize 3D modeling techniques for product development, incorporating building information modeling (BIM) tools where applicable.\n* Execute root cause analysis on mechanical failures or design issues, implementing corrective actions effectively.\n* Manage project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of mechanical product development projects from conception through prototyping and testing.\n* Support manufacturing processes by providing technical guidance on machine design, CNC programming, and assembly procedures.\n* Apply principles of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to ensure precise manufacturing tolerances.\n* Use simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or LabVIEW to model system behaviors and validate design concepts.\n* Prepare technical documentation including schematics, mechanical drawings, system design reports, and compliance documentation.\n\n*Requirements*\n\n* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.\n* Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on mechanical product development.\n* Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo for 3D CAD modeling and drafting.\n* Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles including machine design, tolerance analysis, and system integration.\n* Experience with FEA software for structural analysis; familiarity with CFD is advantageous.\n* Knowledge of programming environments such as MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, Arduino, or CNC programming.\n* Familiarity with industry standards including ASME codes & standards for mechanical design.\n* Excellent cross-functional communication skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams effectively.\n* Ability to perform root cause analysis using systematic approaches to troubleshoot design or manufacturing issues.\n* Project management skills to oversee project scheduling and deliverables within tight timelines.\n* Understanding of building information modeling (BIM) tools is beneficial but not mandatory.\n\nIf you are passionate about advancing mechanical engineering solutions through innovative design and collaborative problem-solving, we encourage you to apply today.
